Dead battery

This afternoon as I was running errands I noticed that my cell phone was turned off. I tried to turn it on but it would not turn on. I wanted to make a call to my friend but how could I call her my phone was not working. I thought there is problem with the battery but my phone is still new. I do not have a watch either so I did not know what time it was. When I am running errands I keep checking the time so that I know how long I have been gone. So I was in a hurry to come home and re charged the battery. I was glad that it was only a low battery; I was worried that it was broken already.
